ChompSaw

Grant Amount: $1,245
Date In Effect: 2025-2026 School Year
Schools Impacted: Goose Hill Primary, West Side, and Lloyd Harbor Schools

The grant provides five ChompSaw tools across three elementary schools, allowing students to safely cut cardboard and other soft materials to create models, structures, and prototypes.

At Goose Hill Primary School, younger students will explore basic measurement, shapes, and construction through introductory building projects. At West Side and Lloyd Harbor Schools, students will tackle more advanced challenges, designing bridges, habitats, architectural models, and other curriculum-connected projects.

By incorporating hands-on fabrication into existing Makerspace and art programs, the initiative encourages students to plan, experiment, test, and refine their designs while building confidence and practical engineering skills.
