This grant enabled the purchase of a teacher microscope equipped with a digital camera for classroom display, along with sets of high-quality student microscopes that connect to Chromebooks for science classrooms at West Side and Lloyd Harbor schools. These tools will enhance hands-on learning for more than 600 students in grades 2 through 6 by bringing the life science curriculum to life. With the ability to conduct real observations, capture images, and analyze data, students will deepen their understanding of core biology concepts while building curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking skills.
