Names, Not Numbers: Student Oral History & Holocaust Documentary Project

Through the Names, Not Numbers program, students will research the Holocaust, study primary and secondary sources, develop interview questions, and conduct in-depth interviews with Holocaust survivors.

Students will then help transform these firsthand accounts into a documentary, gaining practical experience in oral history, journalism, writing, interviewing, and media production.

The project will culminate in a screening and presentation for families and the Cold Spring Harbor community. The completed documentary will serve as a lasting educational resource, preserving survivor testimony for future generations while encouraging reflection on the consequences of antisemitism, prejudice, and intolerance.
